CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION FOR FIRST YEAR MBBS AND BDS

• Total number of seats of MBBS program are 100 for both male and female students.
• Total number of seats of BDS program are 50 for only female students.
• Applicants must have passed HSSC (Pre-Medical Group) of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Pakistan with at least 60% marks (first division, un-adjusted).
• Foreign university or college / school which; in scope and standard is found equivalent to the intermediate (Pre-medical) examination of Pakistan like British A-Level or American / Canadian High School examination (12th Grade) will also be eligible, provided an equivalent certificate from the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen, Islamabad is produced. The equivalent certificate of a candidate will not be acceptable, if he/she has passed three science subjects, out of which two have to be biology & chemistry.
• Candidate shall have taken central entry test of the province.
• Admission will be strictly on merit, which in turn will be determined on the basis of entry test, F.Sc (Pre-Medical) and Matriculation examinations result and all steps of admission process (IQ test, Aptitude Assessment and Interview etc.) by the Admission Selection Committee
• Age limit – as per PMDC rules.

ADMISSION SELECTION COMMITTEE
The committee comprises the Principal / Dean PMC and all heads of departments as its members. Committee has the discretion to refuse admission to any candidate who seems unsuitable. The decision of the admission selection committee shall be final and cannot be challenged on any forum, including the court of law.
Interviews
Short listed candidate will be communicated to appear in the interview for final selection.
(Applicants are cautioned that interviews, although held towards the tail end of the admission process, are important component of the whole process and contributes to the cumulative merit)
Final Selection
Relative weightage for all the components of the admission process (academic achievements in matriculation, intermediate or its equivalents, Provincial Entrance Test or its alternates, aptitude assessment, interviews and other accomplishments) is added up, to arrive at the final merit list.

Applicants will be informed individually about the final selection.
Confirmation of Admission
Selected students will be required to confirm their intent to join the college by depositing the admission fee, tuition fee and other prescribed fees as soon as possible after the announcement of the selection, but not later than the date mentioned in the admission notice. If a seat is not confirmed by this date, it will be offered to the next candidate. No further claim of admission by the incumbent applicant will be admissible. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION
