Default Transport during Medical Electives

You can go by foot if the university / hospital is near. or you can use bike.
You can also rent a car, if you can afford.
In US most of the cities have monthly bus passes, which can be availed for around 40-100$.
Once pay for the bus pass and than you can travel for free for like a month, whenever you want.
