Welcome to medarena
![]() Electives is kind of work for a month or so which a medical students can do in any hospital. Most of the medical students who want to appear in USMLE after there mbbs do electives in U.S. Benefit of Electives is that you get some experience by doing work at foreign hospital. Plus the main benefit is that one can get LOR ( Letter of recommendation ) from a doctor with whom you work there. LOR can be useful in medical residency in U.S after USMLE. |
